小岩井讃歌

小岩井讃歌

from 畠山美由紀 's new album "リフレクション"

the vision of sea, sky and clouds appear in my head when i listen to this song.

A summer night's movie

Late at midnight, just finished a touching japanese movie accidentally in a small cable TV station. As it is a small TV station so...there isn't any advertisement break at all. The problem is...I can't guess what is the title of the movie until it ended.

I especially liked the part that the couples met the old professor in an old, quiet and beautiful temple. The old man later mentioned the buddist meaning of "GeGe解夏"...so at that moment, I have an idea thatmaybe the name of the movie is something related to Gege. Well, it proved that I was not wrong at all eventually.

Before tonight, I really haven't heard anything about this movie at all but an unexpected chance (that i was playing the TV remote randomly since the programmes in most main TV stations were so damn boring ) brought me a good movie. Life is full of surprise and tonight I just met a quite nice one (though i can't deny i may meet any bad surprise in any other nights ).

The film was shot in Nagasaki. Well, can't stop loving the story and the city of Nagasaki after the movie. Haha, could I make my own story if I have a chance to go there in the future? Well, even it may just be a normal story of a traveller, I am sure I could still enjoy the city so well since I like the long uphill steps, the quiet old temples and harbours very well there from the movie.

Ed Harcourt - The Beautiful Lie

The #1 typhoon signal is hosted and the weather is stormy occasionally. The songs from Ed Harcourt's new album "The beautiful lie" are playing all day. His angelic voice, the beautiful music and dark lyric all prove that he is one of the best artists in UK these years.

Some song titles and lyrics are really very thoughtful for all moody days.; like the most beautiful & saddest song I have heard this year "Rain On The Pretty Ones", "Good Friends Are Hard To Find" & "You Only Call Me When You're Drunk"

Try his "The Pristine Claw"
(a song about the plastic surgery can change your outlook but never inside )

Summer Solstice

Today it's the Summer Solstice. In chinese, we call it "夏至" ( it has the meaning of "Summer Arrives"). It's the longest day and the shortest night ( though I can hardly notice how long the daylight time today is because I can always leave office later than 8pm).

Hmmm...with more sunlight, wish the bad luck and the cloud in my head be "vaporized" soooooooooon.

the different sky?

There are over 10 firework shows in Macau in a year( the firework festival in autumn and new year ). Sometimes, I won't join since I don't really like being with the crowds in my city. But it would be an interesting experience to see firework in foreign country even there will be 520,000 people around you under 6,000 shots of "fire-flower" !!

The photo is 横浜開港記念 みなと祭第50回国際花火大会 last year from this site. Wish I were there by looking at such photo.

does it matter?

It's been a long while that i haven't written anything about my own life. Well, maybe I had question about that if it did matter to anyone.

Last night before sleep, I watched 2 short movies of "The Decalogue"by Krzysztof Kieslowski; the decalog 1 & 2. I've owned the DVD for more than 5 years but it's the first time that I watch it. The dialogue between the kid Pawel and his aunt and his dad did give me some inpiration about life. I enjoyed that so much but I guess this set of short movies that I would really enjoy to watch alone.

Today is so hot and will go for a swim later this afternoon. Hmmm...it's the first swim in this year and I am very expecting to see the blue ( pool ).

Maybe my story does really matter to "whoever". That helps to prove we are living with a little meaning. :)

The song for today "Parlez-Moi D'Amour ( Moderne )" is from a soundtrack by Mark Isham in late 80s. I always like his trumpet performance. Of course, the vocal by CharlElie Couture is sophisicated too.
